Automatic disarming.

Hi everyone...I am new to this forum, and we bought a used 2002 Ford Explorer from my niece..so this is all new to us....but we do have a problem...today when I went out to start and move the truck, and went to turn it off....it locked itself up...the theft light just blinks, we can't get the key our nor does it turn on...OMG...what do we do???? HELP!!

sounds like it's not shifted all the way to park

The flashing anti theft is normal, my mark 8 does the same thing

if you cant get the key out.. press the brake pedal, shift to "any gear" then shift it back into park...

key wont come out, not in park
Truck wont start, not in park

Shift it to Neutral, I'll bet it starts, then when you shift back into park.. I'll bet it starts.

Someone just didn't get it "all the way" back into park.
