I have a 1996 4.0 OHV 4x4 XLT with a dead 4r55e transmission and I want to go stick with a M50D. Will any M5OD out of a 1st gen, 2 gen or Ranger work? Does it have to be a 4WD truck? And, will it bolt to the stock 1996 transfer case?
