Has anyone put any of these in their explorers? I know there was alot of talk about keeping your intake air cold. But how do we know exactly what temp the air is? I was just browsing around, and autometer has a intake air temp gague. I thought it looked pretty cool. I know they also sell a 2 pod piece for the a pillar. If I were to do this, what other gague should I put in. I think it gives a cool custom look. Also, does anyone know how hard it is to install one of their tachs. I would like to know what I am really running at. I am slowly trying to make my truck into a high performance explorer(as is almost everone else on this site I suppose ;-) and I want to be able to know as much about how my truck is running as possible.
any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Jason

I also really like the autometer guages although I have no experience with them. Maybe a transmission temp gauge or a fuel pressure guage. Or you could just get a single pod. Although I do like the look of dual guages up on the A-pillar.

I just hook my laptop up to the computer and it tells me exactly what the intake air temp is.

I have a volt meter from them which I find very usefull. I have it just bolted to the bottom of the dash with their metal backing plate that you can buy. Well it was bolted, the screws holding it in did not last long in the plastic. I find this gauge to be pretty dang cool just because when I go on long road trips for some reason the stock volt gauge slowly moves up and I could never figure out why. So I put this on and it tells me the truth! :D

what would be the benifit of having a aftermarket volt gague. I figured if I ever get a supercharger, I could put a pressure gague from that. Can that be done?

Well the benifit for me was that mine stock gauge would sit there and go into the red after about 4 hours of driving and it would drive me nuts just because I thought something was wrong. Well as it turns out its just my gauge. I personally will someday run as many differn't REAL gauges as I can. Anything can be done. They are pretty easy to hook-up also as long as you follow the directions and have the ability to do it.

Jason,

You can put a pressure gauge on supercharger. From my experience with superchargers, almost all have a hookup for a mechanical gauge. The one on my Mustang has both vaccum and boost pressure. So, if you wanted to hook up the gauge now, you can get one like I have and run it to your manifold and see what vaccum you're pulling.

Oil Pressure Gauge

Has anyone put one for oil pressure. I want to put one but don't know if it is possibe. What is involved in installation?

Thanks,
TJ Cotta
