Aviator 2nd row console

Hi - I recently purchased an '03 aviator.
During our search we looked at a couple that had the console btw the seats in the 2nd row. That's one of the features my wife really liked, but the truck we decided to go with doesn't have that option.

I'm curious how difficult it would be to remove the center seat and install the console. I read somewhere there is a bracket that has to be installed in the seat's place to attach the console. Not sure though.

I also didn't realize some explorer's were available with this option too. I expect that console would fit physically -- however, our Lincoln has the light (almost white - parchment (??), I think i what it's called) interior and don't know if explorers were offered in that color.

Suggestions?

my '04 has the center console, outside rear seat fold and tumble to allow access. its a dark color to match the door panels. Its held by 4 screws that mount to a metal bracket, which bolts to the floor, using the same size bolts that hold the seat down. Some have converted before. . .

So I do need to ask for this "bracket" when/if I locate a console. Ok.
What about wiring? Is there an outlet or anything in there?

i did the same thing you wanted, took out the middle seat and put a console in. I found one that had everything including the bracket, only thing i needed was seat belt adapters. Very easy to do.

Ex04 -- I think I ran across your post about the seat belt issue a few days ago. Where did you find them? Price?

I know this is an old thread but i am looking to remove my center console from my 04 Aviator and looking for a center seat to buy. I have the really light leather that looks almost white. I am also interested in selling the console I am removing. If anyone out there knows the best place i could find a center seat or if this is even possible Id appreciate any advice, Thanks Mike

But going to pay a lot for it. Aviators are rare in boneyards. Every one I've seen has been picked clean.

Yes I found a triple seat to go all the way across from Gundees? junk yard here in Bellingham Wa. All the seats in that row needed to be purchase as they are smaller in width than the seats I had that accommodate the center console. Anyone interested in buying my two wider seats and console? It is the very light beige color out of an 04 aviator. Good condition and all the parts needed I have including the bracket as mentioned in an earlier post. I live in Lynden Wa, will ship.
