AWD EXPLORER TRANSFER CASE

I have a 99 explorer with a v8 and i was needing to know if it was possible to disengage the transfer case on AWD.

The way an AWD T-case is build there is no engage/disengage 'function'. And aside from disconnecting the front drive shaft (which wouldn't be good since you're still going to be sending torque that way, therefor waisting it) I can't think of anything.
