I don't have that system, but from what I have read, it is a mechanical system that uses a viscous coupling to split the power between the front and rear. There is no electronic control of the system, so you can't trick the electronics like you can with the Control Trac system.
The viscous coupling allows the system to 'slip' enough to avoid binding when the front differential must turn at a different speed (when turning). The electronic clutch pack in the Control Trac system performs a similar function only with electronics.
You could disconnect the front driveshaft, but I don't know if this could damage the system, so I wouldn't try to do that without doing further research.
