awd v-8 transfer case questions

has anybody installed a shiftable transfer case(2 high 4 high and 4 low) in place of there awd transfer case and if so how did you do it any help please the awd case is out of a 1998 mercury mountaineer but if i cant find something different i going to be installing it in a 2000 sc ranger 4+4

i know someone has. i think his name was stadx2 or something of that sort. i cant really remember. try searching.

Unsure of anyone who's done it. I cannot find suitable case which can handle the V8 power. I trial fit an Expedition case, check my WWW. It fits well however the ujoint is right next to the gas tank. (not a good idea) Best alternative is the Atlas II.
