Oh come on, we all know to Stephen even record players are "new fangeled thing jobbers." Honestly I wouldn't put this past Hartman, he seem's like the kind to listen to Burt Bacharach
My grandfather had two of them crank record players! He would hire us kids to sit in the rumble seat in back of his model-T and crank them for $.05 an hour while he drove around town tiping his hat to everyone he saw. He drew quite a crowd where ever he went. The opera was pretty good. I guess you could say he had the first "car stereo"!
It only skipped occasionally! So I think you will be ok to put the electric one in your back seat. Just use a EXTRA LONG extention cord.
