Axle code 41, why would both rear tires spin?

If this is true....That is probably what happened. Can anyone else say that this is possible? I did buy my X used, so I guess I never could know.

LBarr is right, the LS generally does wear out over time. How many miles do you have on your rear diff? The Limited Slip can sometimes lose its effectiveness surprisingly quickly.

Ok thats what I figured. I just thought that if the wheels were turning the opposite way it would be a true open, guess not. It has 160k on it.

I have Axle code 41 on my door tag.

And both my tires spin NO MATTER WHAT I do....

I also swapped in a 3.73 Posi.........so while my Door Tag indicates I have a 3.27 OPEN.....the tag is no longer correct. I'd like to get a re-pro tag that says 255/55-18 for front tires, and 285/50-18 for rears. And D4 for the Axle code.

I have a similar question that I've always wondered about. Is a front-end, such as a Dana35, locked? Or is it open? Or does this definition not apply?

From the factory, it is open, but manufatcturers such as Aussie Locker have products that you can install into the D35, making your front end locked.
