Can someone help me? I need to find out what the tag number is of the axle before ordering differential parts from the US, but I have no idea which of the numbers are the tag number. If I can only get an example from someone, I might be able to figure it out.

We own a '95 Explorer XLT and have to replace differential parts, which is a big problem as I can find only one company willing to send parts to Namibia and accept my credit card. The company is Gentry Ford Subaru.

Hello and welcome to the site.
Can you tell us what you are going to replace?
Is it the gears?
Are you looking to find out what your gear ratio is?
If that is the question. You can find this out by looking at the label on the drivers side door jamb. There is a code for the axle like D2. If you can tell us what the code is, we can tell what your gear ratio is.
You should also know that all Explorers have Ford 8.8 rear Axles.
