2002 Sport Trac
Hey everyone, this is my first post here, and I just wanted to say hi! I actually do have a question though. I have an 2002 Sport Trac, and planning to install new torsion bar keys that I found on ebay for Ranger/Explorers. My question is, a friend of mine cranked the torsion bars on his 2000 S-10, and the CV shafts started pulling out of the differential! I am nervous that this is going to happen to me too! I know the story on the CV's binding due to the high angle, but are they going to pull out?!? Thanks in advance for your help, and looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Brett,

welcome to the forum

First off I assume your 02 trac is 4x4?
You can twist the torsion bars on the truck but if you go too far you can destroy the cv shaft this is true.

Try doing a search on here for torsion twist and methods of liftingyour trac 2" or so...

Welcome

They torsion keys are a waste of money.

I've never heard of the CV pulling apart on Explorers. If to go over 2" of lift on the front you will put the CV at to much angle & they will not last.
