BA....Ling!

Bling-Bling, it's all about the style and $$$ money. I was seriously thinking about bigger rims and low profile tires but I didn't want to loose the off road capability. Why have four wheel drive if you can't use it?!?

Why have four wheel drive if you can't use it?!?

I am assuming you mean specifically for off road playing..........

Having 20's does not exclude my 4WD capability, with the weather around here, I may have to use it occasionally during the spring(it has been known to snow here in april).
When the winter rolls around, and the REAL snow is expected, then I'll switch back to my stock rims and tires...

Troll has done this, and it aint no "kit". Brembo will be glad to make you some as they did for him, but they are one-off customs... if memory serves they are closer to $5000.

BTW- who gave this thread a 1 star rating??? your truck looks damn good.

James I was just guessin cause my dad was looking to convert his rear drums on a 99 suburban to disk and tha tis what Brembo had for a price. I am not familiar with the specifics of trolls but I believe you. Seems high for some thing that is already a disk setup. However I am sure that something around a 13" disk wont just be a straight change like if they were stock size

When I painted my calipers, my rear ones got messed up. I used high-temp silver paint and it didnt let the heat escape which burned the grease off the sliders and they started hanging up. Different colors will change the way the heat escapes. Maybe it was the paint I used?

I know this is a cheesey suggestion, but...if you don't paint it- you could try those cheap chrome simulated rotor backings...that'll cover the calipers and what not...they come in chromed colors too- blue, red...

:(

Ok, ok- it was just a suggestion! :D

Nice rims DVS1.

looks good!

you can be like me and just risk it when it snows like I used to when I lived in Illinois, got caught many times with slicks or drag radials on sports/muscle cars :) its an intense drive

I say don't paint it...

...it would make your caliper look smaller with your 20's. I think there are cross drilled "brake covers" you could get. The ones that protect your wheels from brake dust. I know they're fake but...

Hey, you guys with 20's, where did you get them through? especially the Monderos.

Viggen2002,

Mine were bought locally, here in aurora IL
