1991 Explorer 4x4
7 years ago, I had a 95 Ford Explorer. It was a great car, and I loved having it. I got married, and my Explorer was totaled. Long story. I got a Chevy Venture. I hated that car. My marriage died after only 18 months, but the Chevy lasted till last weekend.

Now the good news. I found a 1991 Ford Explorer EB that was in REAL bad shape. It had been vandalized, but the engine, transmission and clutch were all new or in good condition. Well, I bought it, and I am restoring it. I have a lot of work to go, but I'm loving it. It's drivable, but not pretty.... YET! :p:

Welcome!! and congrats on the "new" explorer. Post pics of your progress

out of all versions of the explorers, i think the first generation is up there in looks. simple and easy to maintain. just has the aerodynamics of a tank.

good luck with it! at least there's plenty of used parts to help you out!
