Yep, I just pulled out the stock 16" rims n tires today. Going to mount them later this week. its been in the 40s here in Wisconsin. Going to do this before it gets any colder.
Seems like we have 6 months of winter and 6 months of spring!
Also im going to pull off all my neon tubes and get an allignment done.
is there any reason to do a 4 wheel allignment?

You change tires for winter?:D

I don't believe there are any adjustments that can be made to align the rear.

There is a good reason to get a four wheel alignment done. Ever see any cars or trucks from behind heading down the highway looking as if it was going sideways.... If your alignment is off your tires will wear out sooner than you think. It's best to pay the extra cost for a four wheel alignment.

The only way the rear would get out of alignment is if something happened to one of your leaf springs.

I'm gonna be putting my stock wheels back on soon and taking the airdam off. I dont know what to do about my hood blister. I think I'm gonna take that off too.

Oh man. I just put my air dam on. This sucks! So we gotta do this every winter? This is my first winter with my truck lowered and with air dam to boot. This isn't gonna be fun. Anyone got any cheap Explorer to sell just for winter use?

I actually bought another front bumper and I swap the entire bumper. Just 4 bolts that way instead of messing with all those little ones and messing with the fog lights and stuff. Much easier that way.

These days are coming...

Yep, Ill take $1000 for the '91, perfect winter beater!

LOL... plus another $1000 for shipping. :D

there can be more wrong that just a leaf spring for the rear alignment to be off. There are many factors. its worth getting done if you have some miles on it. If nothing else they can tell you what may need to be replaced or close to it

Snizzo. That look sizzalty. Sucks to be you guys. I'm counting my lucky stars I live in the big FL where we get below 32 mabey once a winter :)

blah. you suck.
on another note, i put my tires on and the explorer rides like a dream. those performance tires and rims make the ride soooo bumpy!
the difference between an 18" toyo s/t and a 16" goodyear is a hell of a lot in ride quality.

X~Factor: $4,500.00 for this beautiful 97! Just a little camshaft work (a minor rebuild):D and you'll have a perfect beater...
