I recently got a new tranny put in my Ex and the only problem was that when I put it in reverse no backup lights would come on. Now, the lights are on all the time and it seemed to just have happened out of the blue. I think that I am going to take the bulbs out temporarily but is there anything that anybody might know that may be wrong? It seems to me to be some sort of short in the wiring. Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks.

Look for wiring attached to your tranny other than at the speed sensor . Should be on the side of the case if manual . If automatic the neutral safety switch has the reverse switch inside it most times . Its could be out of adjustment but I think you would have problems starting the engine . Lemme know what tranny you have .

I have an automatic transmission!

Id be laying ods its the neutral start safety switch then . Should be on the side of the tranny near the shifter . Im not 100% sure those don't have a seperate reverse switch but I doubt it . Unplug your reverse lights or they can and or will melt your tail lights , until you fix the problem .
