Hi, my 04 has the back up sensors and they were working fine until the other day. I parked my truck for a couple days then returned to it (while driving in the dark) and noticed a bright yellow light under my steering wheel. My 'OFF' button for the parking sensors stays lit up, and of course they do not work. Im guessing thats the way the truck tells you that there is a bad sensor? Anyone know of an easy fix/troubleshooting i could do? I doubt id pay to get it fixed seeing as how the transmission, axle seals, wheel bearings and other miscellaneous things have put me in the hole around 6k. just wondering if this happened to anyone else? I can live without the back up beeps, just glad i noticed it was off before i relied on it! lol

sounds like you have a bad sensor. The dealer can actually pinpoint whats wrong for a fee. They can ID the bad sensor. Plan B, buy a new/used one and swap it in one at a time. Only problem with Plan B is if the wire is broke, chafed somewhere you may still have the problem. Plan C just disconnect the module in back RR qtr next to the rear PDU, you lose the parking assist though.

Figured. Thanks man. Parking assist was good while it lasted but I suppose I will have to resort to my eyes lol
