ive got a 91 ex and the back hatch window vibrates really hard when the bass hit is there a way to fix this although i think it might be the back gate inside panel.......something vibrates either the panel or the window... any info would be great
if its the window i dont think you can do anything about it. check to make sure what it is. which way are your subs facing? you can turn them towards the front. just an idea.
if the back panel on the gate is easy to take off take it off turn up the subs and climb back there to listin to what ratles...my friend has a 95 civic qith 2 12" u wouldnt belive what ratles =) we had to put foam tape in the corners of the plastic panel that covers the guages lol
mine was doing the same thing. it was mostly the window, which was fixed with foam weather stripping for windows, found in home depot. after that, i discovered the wiper blade rattling very loudly, soi managed to bend the ends out like this \_/, not as drastic as shown, obviously, but if you bend it slightly, it should take care of most of the rattling... then i bought a strip of dynamat from a local audio shop with a $50 gift certificate... no more rattles =] good luck
my hatch rattled like crazy so I just took off the plastic trim and stuffed a bunch of under-carpeting foam down there, and it stopped.... other than the wiper rattling, but heck the window was moving quite a bit at 147dbs..
