Bad lug nuts.

how many knew that most lug nuts are fake and have a chrome cap this cap can crack if a yahoo over does your nuts! Ouch......
This guy takes off a bad lug off a Chrysler / jeep. Ford has the same lugs. After removal he shows a new style called gorilla lugs. Much better than the clover lock. I'm going to get some cash up and get a set of gorilla nuts. Maybe it will give me the strength of a gorilla.

On a second note Thursday I have my DMV hearing to see if I can keep my license with my muscular dystrophy. If it don't turn out well I might have to give up the aero bomber.

My 2¢... look into the McGard brand. That is what I use on my Paseo.

I had a set of Gorilla lugnuts in the past. Had some minor corrosion issues on the surface to surface areas, and with some inside the lugnuts themselves. This was in in dry climate southern Wyoming.

The Gorilla ones in that video do offer some security, but they are not a "locking" lugnut. McGard SplineDrive lugnuts have a similar fluted body design. The McGard locking lugnuts still have the clover style pattern.

If you mess up a mc gard your screwed. They sell a lug removal kit its very expensive. And hard to get the lug off. Now with plasma cutter its easier but still a horror story. They should not be allowed to sell fake caps.if the do it should have a standard nut size.i would have never thought how the hollow lug crushed against the bolt.
