My car got broken into today. Busted out my passenger side window. They stole my Radar detector and my first aid kit from my emergency kit (who knows). Thats all
I noticed. they left my 120 CD's, and my 1300 stereo. Im more pissed they broke my window for a crappy radar detector. It was just a cheapie. And then they didnt even take the mounting bracket. Stupid people. Anyways... AAA dropped the ball so my car wont be fixed till tomorrow... and untill then I have a rental. A 2001 Nissan Sentra. Ill tell you what.... thats the biggest pile of crap ever. It hurts me just to drive it. It was that car or the Expedition... but that would have cost me 70 bucks out of my pocket, and my GF talked me out of it. I regret it now. :) Oh well. I miss my explorer already. Any suggestions on a new Radar Detector? I want the Valentine 1... but dont have the cash.

thats good that all you were missing is just a radar detector, it could have been much worse. i always knew nissan was crap...lol.. the expy would've been my choice, but i can see your thought process of saving money. lol

Well you don't have to be Enrico Ferme on this one.

Guy thought he was the Amazing Hulk, busted up his hand punching out the window......started bleeding profusely . ..went into shock....grabbed the radar detector only to use the cord as a tourniquet. He split with the the bandaids and neo sporen to avoid infection.
And cried "we we we all the way home"

Sorry the "JDs" (juvenile delinquents) got you.
Wouldn't you like to catch'em in the act.... while you coincidently had a baseball bat?... 9mm with a second clip?

What ever you get next time, you have to hide from view better. good luck

Hehe... yeah, I was thinking maybe thats why they took it... I dont they they would be that stupid though. But... hey... I guess so. Im gunna go check ebay for a detector now.

LOL Someone is obviously very bored at the moment. :)

Sorry to hear about your luck flyguy. If your insurance pays for the detector, add that money to yours for a better one.

Unfortunatly, my deductable is higher than both the detector and the damage. Bummer. Just sucks im without a car now and have to drive a freakin Nissan. Punks.

Eh lil Nissan Sentra aint so bad. Come on, it could be worse.

Glad that the event is just a nuisance and not a catastrophe.

I put my Lexus in the shop for service a while back, and I always get either an ES300 or an RX300 as a loaner. Well, I usually have them bring the loaner out to my office and pick up my car so I dont have to take it there, pick it back up etc. This time however I was in the area so I just dropped it off. Well, they're out of loaners and the guy that had the ES I was supposed to get wasnt back yet, so they went over to the Enterprise rental place across the way (only one in the area) to rent me a car. Well, all they had left was a Geo Tracker. The guy offered to drive to another place about 25 minutes away to rent me something else, but I couldnt wait and took the Tracker. Luckily it was back the same day.

Put an LS400 Lexus in the shop and get a Tracker, thats just wrong on so many levels lol.

Wow that does suck. hehe. But this Nissan is pretty bad too... Im a big guy... 6'1", large build... and on that large build, a nice coating of fat. My head touches the ceiling...and my knees have to point out towards the side to drive the thing. And its slow.... and makes scary noises...like its going to fall apart. And this is a NEW car... I would hate to see an old one. Whats funny about the whole thing... it that at the moment, im a very poor college student... and I have a nice alarm on my explorer... its one of those Compustar 2-way alarms... so I should be alerted when say.... somebuddy busts open my window and takes my radar detector. But about a month ago my remote broke off my keychain. So my alarm was not armed. I asked my parents for the dough to replace the remote... they said "No, it will have to wait" I begged, I pleaded... but to no avail. Now this happens. Guess what? I got cash for the window AND the new remote. Hehe. Too bad they didnt pitch in for the radar detector. :) Ill save that for a later time... when I explain to them how I have a lead foot and it would be cheaper in insurance and in fines to just get me a Valentine One instead. :) hehe.

Oh yeah, Im attempting to trade my dad my explorer for his ES300. I love that car. Too bad it has no aftermarket support. Ive been hearing rumors its possible to fit the TRD supercharger on it though... hmmm....

Fortunately it wasn't as bad as it was for me a couple of years ago when someone threw a basketball sized rock through my front passenger window to take my Wife's purse that she shoved under the seat while we ran in one night to pick up my daughter at my Mother's house. That one cost me $250 deductible on my homeowner's policy for the purse and contents and $250 deductible for the damage to my Explorer. That sucked!

Man, when I bought my explorer there was some suspension part loose on it. So I asked the guy who sold to me what they would give me to drive when I brought it in. He told me that he would probably give me His explorer to drive.....man did that ******* Lie.

When I came to drop in off the pulled up this Little POS escort, And the sales guy said that his manager wouldnt let him do that.

so for the next two days I tore the **** out of that car.
Rev up the engine and drop it in gear......come up to a parking spot and just slam it into park while the car was still rolling, Driveing down the freeway with the E-brake on(now that smelled horrible) I even tried to take it offroad. only to end up bottoming out a couple a hundred time. It was all actuall kinda fun.

GET THE "JD" PUNKS!!

I screwed up a couple of months ago and left my passenger door unlocked. Some punk came by and stole my cell phone and my FAVORITE big, bad, mag-lite. He didn't touch the $200 worth of rock climbing gear in the back floor board or the $500 mountain bike in the cargo area or the $GOD-ONLY-KNOWS tool box in the cargo area.

BUT....

I got my cell phone bill this month. He didn't get through the minutes on my plan, so that didn't cost. I DID get every phone number he called. Heh heh heh. Girlfriend... bail bond agency... I'm guessing one of them is his house, his job, etc. I've looked up most of the numbers and got names etc. That punk is gonna pay the hard way. Screw callin' the cops. I'll get justice the old fashion way. Call his work, tell them that I'm his parole officer and he's going back to the pokey. Call his girlfriend and tell her that I'm his gay lover. You get the idea.

Mine was going to... they didnt care what it was. I could have lost a bong and they would have paid for it if it was over 250. hehe.

My agent said that radar detectors would be covered under a home owner's policy. The only thing the automotive policy will cover is factory installed items (or aftermarket items in the factory location) or damage to the vehicle. Additional amplifiers, speakers, radar detectors, purses, etc. would be covered by home owner's policy, not my automotive policy.

Hmm, I bet you would love someone doing that in your car wouldn't you? Just because you didn't get what you wanted doesn't mean you have to trash the car they give you. What were you trying to prove/say. It's no wonder they didn't give you a nicer vehicle.(I'm not flaming you or anything, well actually I am but no offense.)

I guess you just dont get it do you troy. oh well

Ryan

I tend to agree with Rusty on this one... people do that with rental cars too. However, I do think Ryan should have gotten a nicer ride while his car was being repaired. oh well.

I didn't see your's flyguy by the time I posted. True he should've gotten a better car that's just good business by the seller/dealer.? But that could've been something discussed right then instead of just trashing it. Not saying he didn't discuss it but he didn't say if he did say "hey, that's a p.o.s. compared to my X, I want something little nicer." But to me general actions speak volumes.
