I was chaning my spark plugs, and with the engine off i turned the steerting wheel to make room to change the #4 plug under the wheel well. When i was done and took it for a test drive i immeadately noticed a vibration i would turn the wheel to the right. it is very severe when i turn it to the right, and mild when i turn it to the left. does anyone know what the problem might be? please help....thanks

Maybe you're shorting out a plug wire? Check to make sure they're not damaged or arching or any of that fun stuff.

Ok, i did a search on the form for any similar vibration problems and i figured it out. turning the wheel with the engine off cause air to get into the PS pump. i turned the steering wheel back and forth while driving, and it released the pressure and everythings fine. i checked the plug wires and theyre fine, thanks anyways.

Good info. I have moved the steering with power off before, and never gotten air into the p/s. Guess I've just been lucky.

i have also and never had a problem. i guess sometimes it just happens, maybe depending on how much you move it or the force it takes to move it?
