Here's what my thermostat looked like when I changed it. I was experiencing all of the same symptoms as those listed above- temp gauge not moving, cabin heat lacking......

With the new thermostat, it warms up in just a few miles and then puts out blast-furnace-levels of heat.

Change the thermostat and flush the radiator while you're at it.

I haven't had a chance to calculate the mileage yet. Ill let you know after I fill up next if it helped with the mileage.

I just got mine done last night. I wasn't able to flush the radiator, so I just drained the coolant, replaced the thermostat, and refilled it with new coolant. Within a few miles of driving, the gauge shot up to normal and I was happy! It fluctuates within the normal range, but everything checks out alright. The cabin heat (which was alright to begin with) is insanely hot now, which is great for being in the mountains. Definitely something to look at and replace if you can!

i change my thermostat, and gasket at 100,000miles now i got 153,400 i think i need change again it take long time warm-up and way wast too much gas
