I have a 2003 explorer 4x4 4.0L, 84K, that I pulled the transfer case and took it in for a rebuild. While out I replaced the front and rear u-joints. I put it all together and it seemed to be fine until speeds over 55, then a pretty heavy vibration...seemed to be rear shaft related. Prior to removing the transer case it was smooth as silk...I replaced the u-joints just because. The rear u-joints were rusted in pretty well and it took a beating to get them out...could I have damaged the rear drive shaft in the process?
