i have a 1997 explorer sport and the o/d light will flash from time to time,I was just wondering how hard of a job is it to rebuild the valve body and possibly put a shift kit in. I have average mechanical skills. Some of the jobs i have done are replacing ball joints,alternater,brakes and rotors,general maint. i guess.This is the 2nd tranny for this explorer now that i have been doing research on your website i think the orig.trans.could have been fixed.I love my explorer and think if i do some upgrades to the tranny it will have a few good miles left in her.
