ball joints

ok im getting ready to do the ball joints in my x its 4wd and i know i need the ball joint press but is there any other special tools im gonna need and should i be replacing anything else at the same time? input is appreciated because once i start i cant stop as its my only vehicle.

A slide hammer with the right attachments may be useful for getting the spindle out of the knuckle.

If the outer u-joints need changed, this is a perfect time to do it, because you'll have to pull the outer axelshafts out to get the knuckle off.

Other than that, I just followed the directions in Chiltons when I did my ball joints.
