2003 Ford Explorer xlt
Hello Everybody!! I´m new to the Forum. I just bought a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT 4wd. It has a banging noise that I can feel under the floor of the driver side. I just replaced all the bushings on both control arms of the front suspention but the banging still persists. It sounds like a mount has gone bad or something but I can´t find what it is. I can hear it when there are bumps on the road. Thanks.

Check the front "sway bar" to see if the front "sway bar end links" are missing. There is one on each end of the sway bar, front and rear. It is common for them to rust out and break off and having one missing will cause a clunking noise going over bumps in the road or when turning sharply. Check for bad "ball joints" as well.
