Bare wires!!!

When installing my new sound system in my Explorer I found something that needed fixing
right now. What I found is the wires coming
from the coil pack, they have a sharp bend and
proceed to the engine harness. At this bend
I found that the wires have been exposed by
rubbing on the insulation with foil. So I
just taped them up and put a protective cover
in thic location.

I had the same problem but it was more serious. It actually burned out my coil causing some strange problems and ford misdiagnost it as a Air Mass sensor and a bad fuel pump (est. 600 bucks and took a day to find out) i said yeah right and had my buddy mechnic find the problem in 5 mins.. ended up costing around 100 i blieve.

It happened again after about 30k.
but covered under warranty of the coil manu.
moral.. make sure those wires are good
