You may want to do a search on battery cables. There was some discussion about replacing them with aftermarket vs. Ford OEM. It seems there are some advantages to the Ford OEM but I can't recall exactly what they are. Hope this helps.
Although the Ford ones are like $30, I would definately go with them, cause they WILL fit. Unlike those ones that are universal that you can buy at auto parts stores. Those aren't really a guaranteed fit, and if you want it done right the first time, then go with the ford ones instead of having to buy a few of the universal ones
I agree with rock883...go with the OEM. Several years ago I replaced a cable set (not on an :exp: ) with one from Western Auto or similar. What I realized as i was swapping them was the replacement cable had fewer and thinner wires than the OEM and the connectors and insulation were (IMO) junk. Also, I ended up having to modify the damn thing because the positive cable was WAY too long and the neg cable too short. In other words, there wasn't anything right about it.
