Do you leave it running all the time, then? (Ha!)

If a manual transmission, you can "kill" it by placing in High gear, releasing clutch pedal. If, as is probable, the ignition switch is at fault, or the mechanism which actuates the switch is broken/damaged, that could acount for power not being turned off to EEC (computer) Power Relay, Fuel Pump, etc. imp
 






i actually have the same issue. I bought a portable battery charger that is hooked on the battery terminal. I attached a small home AC cord from the battery charger (because the cord is too short) and snaked it to the bottom of my truck. Every night when i get home, i connect that cord to a household cord connected to my house. It charges the battery usually in 5 hours. It works great, never a dead battery again.

used GEM I purchased appears to have solved my troubles
