This just gets more frustrating as the days go on...

Here's the deal. The truck runs great during the day. Shut the truck off at night, make sure everything is turned off, and in the morning...nothing. Dead. I put the jumper cables to it and it immediately comes to life.

Now here's the kicker; I bought a new battery a month ago and this just started to happen the last few days. God, I have to think that there is a short somehwere drawing down the battery. I'm not sure what else it could be.

Now the big question. Is there any possibility in the world that they could diagnose what might be going on? And would they be able to if the battery is dead? (as I would suspect that it would be hard to try to find an electrical short if the vehicle was running and everything appeared to be fine).

This is killing me...

I had the very same problem for 6 months. A brand new battery from advance.
They tested it and tested it, always came back saying "good needs charge" I couldn't do anything and start the car after.
Finally I went to Advance, they ran the full battery test again, all tested good but got "needs charge". We turned my headlights on and went in the store for maybe 3-4 minutes, came back out and not enough power to even turn it over.
They switched out the battery and I have never had a problem since. It was just a bad part, and best part it was free.
