OK here is something that does not really stop me from using my explorer, but id still like to figure it out. When I turn my on my turn flashers sometimes I get a buzzing from in the steering column. It happens both when turning left or right. WHAT THE HELL Is causing it??? Is it as simple as a burned out turn light or is it something more sinister???
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

no,, the flasher unit is going bad,, get one at any parts store and it is under the dash by the drivers feet,,

How many clams are we taking? for a new flasher unit?

It could also be the multi function switch. That is a common problem and makes a buzzing sound. I don't know what they cost now. 6-7 years ago they were around $50

Umm where the heck is that located? In the multifunction hidden spot?

Sounds like another trip to the U pull yard.

Definitely multifunction switch.

Make sure you get the right one, though they look the same, the 1552-2001 Explorers do not all use the same MFS (electrical connectors)...
