Headlights only work after I jiggle the Turn signal/high beam arm

I have a 1996 Explorer. In order for my headlights to come on I have to jiggle the turning signal/high beam arm. When the problem first started I only had to lighty touch the arm for the lights to come on. Now it seems that I really have to jiggle it harder. From what I've read in other areas, it looks like it could be the MFS. I just finished learning a few minutes ago what a MFS even was, so bear with me...Thanks!
