i was planning on running 2 of the new bazooka triangle subs in their own enclosures, the TVB-141 off of either a crunch MXB2200 or the crunch P2200... i know these are inexpensive amplifiers but does anyone know how they will perform? i tested one of the subs at circuit city and it pounded the hell out of the room so i assume itll sound good in the back of my X. i really cant afford to spend alot on an amplifier so does anybody know any that are inexpensive and do 2x200watts or more at 4 ohms?

i'll probably get flamed for saying this, but Crunch really isnt that bad. they are built really well and their power ratings are accurate (unlike Power Acoustik, Legacy, Pyle, American Pro, etc...).
for someone on a budget, they are a great choice. they are not cheaply made (they are the same company as Hifonics).

Just got my Crutchfield catalog. They have Profile and US Acoustics that are what you want (or close) for less than $200. I own Profile and have been happy and have heard good things about US Acoustics.

I have the USX-600D mono bass amp and it rocks, pushes my 2 12" Bazooka 1204

triangles

I havent ever heard those triangle subs but, doesnt a 12" triangle have half the area of a 12" square? So would that mean it can move about half of the air?

Yes, you are right....the 12 triangle subs have roughly half the cone area as a 12 L7 or L5. It was really a pretty poor attempt at something new... When working with new sub shapes decreasing the surface area usually is not a good idea.

yep

Yea' thats what I was thinking. Wont see me buying any of those.

93RedBeast... You might want to look for some other subs also! Unless your just set on the way that they look or something. Look on Ebay, you can get some real good deals on some good subs, for close to the same price you are getting the bazookas for.
