Do any of them work? Well that is? I'd like to do it, but these items are kinda pricey for a possible 5 hp each. Seriously, anyone have the scoop? Alec?

BBK doesn't do a whole lot. You can slightly feel it, but not much. The cat-back I think was slightly better. You feel a little more pull and it makes for a nice sounding truck.

So for all practical purposes, save that $$$ for my future toys?

It all depends...all of it adds up. I think the money for the intake and cat-back were well spent. Also, I bought my BBK used for $100 so that isn't bad either. It will give you some horsies no doubt about that, it just depends if that's what you looking for.

My recommendation is to do intake and exhaust, then the TB and chip. The chip adds more than the TB for the same money, so if you only do one do the chip. I noticed a fair difference with my TB, almost as much as with the intake kit.

You do have the OHV, right? Cause there is no TB for the SOHC ;)

An intake, such as a KKM, as well as a cat bacl will definately benefir you.

Good luck....

Even with the chip, intake, cat back, and tb.... I'm not going to see but about 25 hp... right? Alec... where'd you get your cat-back? Also... your bodylift... How hard was it. I think i might just start ordering parts for a d44-hp and leaf spring it w/ an soa convo in the back (next year - almost paid off the ex already!)

Alec, what is this "BBK Intake" that you have?

Those 4 mods together are probably worth about 20 peak hp at the wheels, but as much as 35-40 hp at other points in your rpm band.

My exhaust recommendations:

In Austin, Leonard's Muffler Shop on Jamestown and 183, behind the Discount Tire. Tell them I sent you (the guy with the supercharged black explorer, as they might not remember my name) and they might give you $10-20 off. They're great, and usually have you out in about 1.5 hours.

I don't have a body lift (why does everyone think that?) But if you want help with it maybe you can drive down to Houston or Victoria and arrange a wrenching party.

The BBK part of my intake, other than the TB, is the large chrome intake tube that relocates the intake tract to feed the supercharger.
