I am having trouble with the bearings on my ranger,. I replaced the rotors and noticed the bearings were bad. So I replaced the inner and outer bearings on both sides. I shortly after that started having trouble with the bearings. I have replaced the driver side 2 times and the passenger side 3 times. The noise is a loud roaring and it gets louder the faster I go. It is so loud I cant play music for it because u cant hear the music for the roaring. Please help. What could cause the bearings to keep going bad? Thank you

Im only asking this cause you didnt mention it. Did you pack the bearings prior to installing them?

yes I did. I have always changed my own bearings and I have always packed them... just with this specific truck I never ever had any problem with the truck. it has 209 thousand miles and still runs like a new one other than the bearings started going out after the rotors were changed and I cant seem to figure it out.

If you keep going back to the same place I would consider trying another parts supplier or a different manufacturer of the same part. If that doesnt work than OEM bearings will always work.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but I've never heard bad bearings get so loud that I couldn't hear my radio, and it's very unusual to have to replace bearings 2 or 3 times in a short period of time... are you sure it's a bearing problem?

What torqueing sequence are you using? You should torque alot first to seat the bearings then back off 180 degrees and torque to a little over finger tight.

Did you replace the races also?

What rotors are you using? Should be Ford, same with bearings,

Isn't seal bearing?
