bed liner interior question

the carpet in my 93 sport is thrashed and im considering pulling it and doing bed liner inside but im curious about sound and road noise. anyone that has done this....is it loud inside? i dont expect to be silent inside...im just curious.

I have mine half done. Well only did the cargo area. I have no carpet anywhere else.


Its not so bad just without carpet. You will hear noise that you never thought your truck makes and it might freak you out a bit but thats it. Little cooler in winter but not bad
 


















I did it on my old 93. It was louder. When you remove the carpet your removing two different noise dampeners, the matting and the carpet itself. I put my trusty floor mats back in and didnt notice any difference other than noise.

another option is to replace it of sorts.... I have been thinking about replaceing my carpet with a molded vinyl.:thumbsup: The price is not bad too..
