Is the Bellhousing bolt pattern from a 5.4l modular motor the same as the 4.6l?

Reason for asking is I wasn't to fit a t56 behind the motor and bolt the transfer case on some how?

Probly easier for me to but a Nissan patrol but I like to show my mates up who tell me you can't do anything with your explorer

im 95% sure they are identical, take a trip down to your local scrap yard and take a look-see at the two if your unsure. I know there was a memeber here who claimed to have swaped a 5.4L into his explorer with no additonal mods other than modifying the y-pipe to fit the larger engine, but there were never any real details.

Yes, the 4.6 and 5.4l share the same bolt pattern.
