So I have replaced everything chasing this wobble down. I replaced the u joints, drums, had the drums turned, replaced the shoes, and removed a frozen parking brake cable. Still wobbles. Replaced axle shafts and seals. No more brake pedal wobble. Still wobbles tho!!! Just not in the pedal any more. Ok so I have to replace the rims.

Question,

Can a bent or out of round rim, over time, create a bent axle flange?

I've never curb checked it. I may have hit a big ol chuck hole once but you'd think I would've blown a tire before I bent a rim or an axle flange. ideas? experiences?

have someond drive it slowly and u drive or have some one drive u behind it watching, alternately if its 2 wheel drive jack it up and put it in gear watching wheels again slowly u will see any wobbling buck

Buck is right, also have you considered radial tire wobble? Is it just wobbling a bit when you come to a stop? What exactly is it doing? I'd use this situation as an excuse to buy a run-out gauge and a magnetic mount myself.

every time ive had wobble just as im stoping or starting, and i dont pay attention, its just before i had a tire delaminate, time for tires,, one took the fender off my wifes front fender on her lumina,, she could never feel anything wrong,, she drove it till it quit and then told me where its at or how much i owed a towing bandit,, buck

Ha ha, funny... my wife is constantly coming home complaining about some new noise... I believe she is spoiled.

I had considered the bad tire idea. The tires are somewhat new. They are Toyo open country 235/70/15. I did jack up my 4wd and stuck it in drive and saw a wobble in the left rear but I couldnt tell if it was the rim or the tire. so Im gonna take it over to schwabs today and have them rebalance the rears.

could be defective tire cud be rim,, if u move the tire to other side and wobble goes with it,, then it is tire or rim not axle ,, if it still wobbles on same side then for sure axle,, in any case balance may not cure it, bent rims are common, easy, replace
