I had my tires balanced to try and help with some vibrations. My shop told me that one of my rims was needing a lot of weight to balance and so they took off the tire and inspected; found it to look ok. They did not mention any possibility of a bent or badly machined rim.
I have 15 stock aluminum on my 94, I have heard that many of these have problems. What ways can i check to see what is causing the prob.?

They can put the rim/tire on the balancer and then they have a pointer they can adjust right up close to the rim. If it's bent you will see it right away when they spin it.

I thought I had a bent rim at one point but it turned out to be a shifted belt in my goodyear RT/S. What a piece of junk tire I wish mine would wear out so I could get some Michelins...

what kind of machine did they check the tire on?

did they check it out for Road Force?

Get them to dynamically balance the tire or you could ask if they can 180 the tire, that COULD help.

Or try out that equal stuff, that's what I really want to do.
