what size and what are u going for soun quality or sound pressuere these are very important factors when decding and how many subs

JBL make good amps for the $$$.
But, like sajnj said, depends on what you are driving and their purpose.

IOW's....we need more info!

whats the difference? i want it to sound good and not crappy. I might be running two rockford fosgate 15's or maybe save up for a jl 12w7

Well for one, we can't recommend an amp without know how much power you need and how many channels.
Two 15's would be pretty sick! I've heard one 15 and OMG!!
If you are just looking for brand name suggestions, for under 300 I'd say JBL, Kenwood, Alpine, or others along that level.
If you post the specs of the woofer's you are considering, we can easily suggest specific amp models.

and where do u want to buy at if ur wiling to deal wit eaby u can get a comp amp for that much like lets say orion my faovorite they make some killer amps

member02 is selling me a concept 2400d or somethin, for 250. hows that amp? i will be running to rockford fosgate 15's, i think they are last year or the year before models? they're the RF's or something.

well it suposed to be a comp amp but the thd is a little hi tho but it all together it looks good

I have a Brand-new Concept HP-1000 (foot-print series) amp that will do 1000wrms @ 2ohm and 1500wrms @ 1 ohm off the stock electrical system and a Brand-new Concept CPT-15 that's dual 2 ohm. You'll only be able to handle one of these 15s with 1200-1500wrms. I'm looking to get $550 + shipping OBO. It's a steal seeing how $600 is dealer pricing for this combo.

another question that needs to be answered..

What ohm load are your speakers? Are they dual or single voice coil? What model RF's are they? This all has to be answered in order to really recommend a amp..

For example if you have 2 DVC (Dual Voice Coil) RF HX2's that are 4 ohm speakers than you are going to want to look into a amp that can run at 1 ohm, 2 ohm stereo, or have all its power at 4 ohms into 2 channels.

I ran into a similar dilema where I needed something that was 1 ohm stable since I had DVC 4ohm drivers. I bought one of these (got a new one not a refurb) and it has more power than I could ever need...

This amp BIN is $250.. YOu can find new ones for anywhere from $350-$450 on ebay.. I think I paid the $350 for mine.. I am totally happy with my purchase. Only thing is that you will need to step up to a minimum of 4 guage wire with this amp. I upgraded to 0 guage..

I like sticking with sony. not the best quality, but for the money it's hard to beat. I bought a 900w rms (@ 2ohm) amplifier for about $120 new. IMHO, it's the best choice for the budget-minded people.

You might want to double check those stats.. Ain't no way you are going to get a 900W amp for $120 unless its stolen.. Even if its a Sony..

Sony along with Pyramid and Pioneer are amoung the worse manufactures. They label their stuff 900W when in reality they only do 200W of clean power. Most of these manufactures if you look at their amps when they are producing their "900 watts" are distorted as hell, probably got like 20 volts going to that amp and its just about to fry.. A 900 watt sony isn't pushing 900 watts. Check you owners manual I bet it will say its on like a 200 watt amp

im running an mtx thunder 250d to two alpine type E 10's, through a mtx 3 way crossover, and love it. PLENTY of power.

im also running an Alpine 301 monoblock amp to two MTX 6000 10's, and its SICK.
ive got the amp crossover at -18 on input, and its still brutal. ive run it at -12 and its unreal.

these two 6000's hit hard with the 250d, but are brutal on the alpine.

also running separate switches to turn each amp off from the drivers seat!
4 subs is TOO MUCH! (LOL) still working on the soundproofing.......

all subs are hidden in truck also, along with the amp rack. :D :D
