I am in the market for a Billet Grille for my X, though there are so many to choose from. I was just wondering which is the best and if you guys possibly had some links to where I could pick one up. Thanks.

Here's my opinion when it comes to billet grilles:

It has to be one that requires cutting out the factory grill. The ones that go over the stock grille just don't look right (ebay billet grille, EE billet grill). It also has to be polished. I had the brushed finish, and it took constant polishing to keep it looking good.

I have a T-Rex polished billet and I love it. The quality is great (no black flaking paint in between the bars). Carriage Works and Trenz grilles are also good.

agreed with hartman, and i tend to think the fewer bars the better....

what do you do about the hood latch release??

try a search- i did a write-up of one way to solve the problem

btw- both nnnick and hartman had t-rex and that what i used to have too

I have a Stull billet grille. Its about identical to the T-rex grille. Im getting rid of it for a speed-grille. If your interested shoot me a PM.

i disagree. ebay billet rules all. the more bars the better. cheaper than most. easy installation, real easy. also, option of bumper billet to match. heres mine:

I've seen the eBay billet in person. And not to offend anyone, because I know a lot of people have this piece, but it's cheap. It's made of plastic. It goes on with zip ties. It has so many bars that it looks solid from 30 feet away.

to each his own. i got it specifically b/c it had so many bars i think it looks cleaner than other billets. but if less bars and more space is what you want, then no, the ebay one is not for you.

it isnt plastic, its metal.. of some sort.
But i agree, its a peice of junk, i bought one and took it off after a month or two. I recently put it back it on.. im not really sure why i put it back on though.

If you stand more than 5 feet away, like hartman said, it looks like a giant solid peice of metal in the grill opening.
I wouldnt reccomend buying one.

as a matter of fact i think ima take the ebay billet grille off rite now, cuz i really dont like the thing.

I have just enough space with mine to use my pinkey finger, but I love to watch someone else open it when I get my truck worked on:D

I used to think the more the bars the better. It looks cleaner, I thought. Until I saw it in person. I hate to use the word "Cheap" but I don't know how else to describe it. But it does look clean 15 - 20 feet away. :)

Yanawas won it at $41. It looks good so I hope that was you. :)

So does that one look good? Not too many bars, and its aluminum.

IMO, i don't like the gap that it leaves on the bottom. it looks like a bar is missing. i like the other ebay one better.

i like the ones that you could see through and see the radiator. the other ones look fake imo.
