For my 99 explorer I need to change the brake pads but I need a pad thats cost effective yet will keep my rims clean (I have stock ford chrome rims) with my current pads, my rims get dirty within 2-3 days of a wash. I was some pads that will last long, cheap, and wont dust everywhere. Any suggestions? Thanks guys

best brake pads

I put Hawk pads on a year ago last October and they have been great. No dust. Hardly any wear and no noise. I got them at Pep boys.

^^I had the Hawk pads and they were awesome...but not if you like to go muddin'. The "squeak pads" on the back of the brake pad isn't built into it, so if you happen to go through mud holes, they have a tendency to come loose from that and make your brakes squeak EVERYWHERE! They stopped great though. I've since changed to Wagner ThermoQuiet brake pads that stop almost as well as the Hawks do, and the squeak pad is built in, so I don't have any more problems with that!
