What does everyone here think what kind of exhaust I should put on my explorer.

well for us to answer that we need to know a lil about you. do you want duals ? you want it to be loud? nice rumble? or jsut a stock sound ?

PEACE

i am running a flowmaster 40 single in/dual out on a 4.0L its not really loud, but sounds good.

Hey Kid, do you have one flowmaster muffler with 2 exhaust pipes exiting the back on a V-6 engine? Doesn't that kill your Torque a bit?

ok i want somethin that sound good and is loud.

..keeping an eye on this because i too want a nice rumble (roar if possible) and duals.

nice roar and good sound? you can do what did...call borla exaust co. and find the muffler that fits your truck...then order the tips from summit racing (tips 130$)
for the dual tips single inlet. but mine sounds great...i like t..it does not idle like a funny car or sound like i'm running for the winston cup but it is a nice sound. over all i spent 350$ on the muff + pipes and 130$ on the tips...the pipes are not borla but i saved a lot on that. borla uses T303 stainless steel. its aircraft quality and will most likely NEVER rust out.

how's the E2 exhaust? I don't want too loud...been there done that on my other cars. I don't want it to drown out the DVD player either.

hey all, i have been running 2.5" straight pipe from the cat-back. it is loud but not too bad because of the dual cats

i think that the best exhaust out now is the Flowmaster Series. They give good hp and trq gains and they sound phenominal!!!! I would HIGHLY recomend some flows for you X!!

i ran a 40 series flow for about a year and it just wasn't loud enough. plus i have more high end power with the straight pipe

On my old 92 I had a borla header and a gibson muffler running out to duals and it sounded great. But my spare tire found a new home behind the back seat:(
