Best performnce mod to stock 93 XLT?

Well, this is my first post to this forum. I've lurked here for a while and really enjoyed dreaming about all the mods I could do to my 93 XLT. And since it looks like I'm going to be keeping if for a few years I figured I may as well make it more enjoyable. So my first step is taking it in and getting the transfer case fixed so it engages and fixing that lame center console armrest.

Once that's done, my big question is, "what mod can I make to my 93 XLT to get the most performance gain for the bucks"? Should I add a cone filter, or a performance chip, or should I jack up the radiator cap and put a new 2002 V8 XLT underneath it? I'd prefer to keep it under a few hundred or so.

Or are there other mods that would make my driving more enjoyable that I'm missing here.

get a kkm,I just put mine on last night takes about 15 minutes I can defienitly notice the difference,I am thinking about a intake tube next,my plastic one has alot of cracks in it.
