I've worked at a stereo shop off and on for 5-6 years now..... You say you have the HU... good... you can go with any door speakers... everyone is going to have their own opinion. pioneer makes a 5 1/4 in mid with 1 inch tweeter plate for our trucks. i actually have some for sale... anyways, if you go with 5x7's, get a 2 or 3 way. more highs... for the kind of music you listen to, go with a 10 inch woofer. I would say JL Audio. It has been rated the best over all woofer for 2 years now.. it will give you the bass you are probably looking for. i would do 2 JL Audio 10's.. probably W 0's because the would be a pratical woofer. they don't need much power. you would be looking around $80 - $120 for each woofer depending on how or where you get them... you probably won't need an amp for your mids and highs. I would get a decent 2 ch amp that's bridgeable for the woofers.. nthing bi, because they dont need alot of power to perform up to there standards...

I agree with the other guys on making a friend at a store like Best Buy etc. I got a hookup at Circuit City he is getting me a MTX 6500D Mono channel amp(775W) for $225 and 2 MTX 8000 12s for $100. $325 for all that is GREAT.
