Best way to get out scratches?

having a bad last few days with the mounty. We met a chain today and it scratched up the hood and right above the headlight nicely. They're not deep thankfully.

What's the best way to get rid of these scratches?

use some rubbing compound on the scratches, and than use a good wax,

follow the directions on the rubbing compound to the letter , or it can scratch and make the paint look very hazy, ,

I'm looking at meguiars Scratch X as the compound i'm going to be using. Anyone use this before?

Also, whats a good polish/wax?

went and looked back at it, and it looks like some areas need paint. Will take pics later, not sure if I can solve the issue with some touch up paint and clearcoat, its a bunch of small chips.
