its turned to the right too much, not too sure as to how I should recenter it.

can I just pull off the steering wheel and put it back on straight? (splines?)

or

take off the tie rods, turn it straight and put them back on? (i work at Canadian tire so i can use the alignment machines for free.) will I still have full turning radius?

The steering wheel has to be aligned by adjusting the tie rods as you mentioned. Hell check the alignment first to make sure it's not off.

its not out of alignment, I did a DIY body lift and used a modified lower steering shaft, it made the steering wheel out of alignment. (i also broke the clock spring, and airbag fuses are out)

but anyways, so if i adjust it there, will it still give me full turning radius? its not out by much.

Yes you will still have a full turning radius. You will probably only need to turn the tie rod a couple of turns to adjust the steering wheel.

You will not need to remove the tie rod to adjust it back off both jam nuts and turn the adjuster in or out. Just keep track of how may turns you make in case you turn it too far. I would mark the jam nut locations before you loosen them also.

You may need to adjust both the right & left sides.

alright thanks, its an easy fix then.

Yep.

I had an alignment done 4 years ago when I replaced all my ball joints and tie rods. The dumb ***** didn't center my wheel and I damn sure wasn't taking it back to them so I did it myself in my driveway.
