Does anyone have any input on ways to increase gas mileage on a stock '97 5.0 Explorer? Exhaust, Intake, etc.
Thanks
Scott

My Intake helped alot on mileage, about 20 more per tank normal driving. But with the exhaust now, I've got a lead foot hearing that WOT sound

intake and decent catback exhaust. with that said, the biggest factor that will gain mileage is your right foot. i can get 10mpg out of a tank, and i can get 21 out of the next tank, all depending on how i drive. (i will admit, the 21 is on trips only). :)

^ plus a well tuned engine. And don't forget a slightly higher tire pressure (35-36 psi) usually yields better gas mileage.

I would go with synthetic lubricants all arround.
