i have a 98 xlt and wanted to know if any of you had a set of the BFG AT 10.50x31 mounted with a set of factory running boards. i dont have the fender flares. i need new tires soon and just wanted to know if i would have any rubbing. I plan to do the shackle and torson lift but it will be after i have the tires for a little while.

Might want to do shackle/torsion immediately after new tires are on. You will rub under compression and I don't mean off-roading compression!!!

You're fine. I have 265/75R16 Bfg KO's, equivalent of 32x10.5. I have factory running boards and they fit fine. I have yet to do my torsion bar/add-a-leaf lift some my truck is stock with no problems. Hope this helps you!

I have 31's and factory running boards and the tires cleared the running boards. The only problem I had was when I bottomed out, the tires would rub up top in the wheel wells. The torsion twist and shackles solved that problem. Other than that, No Compliants what so ever. You will love the BFG's. I was very satisfied with the performance especially in a foot of snow that we got here in the east last week.
