so one month ago i had a post to get a feel of other people's opinions and experiences with the bridgestone Revo's versus bfg longtrail. I previously had the revos and switched to longtrail, and I now know they are very very different tires, no comparison.
I live in California where the weather is kind. and when I had the revos I was in Chicago, where the weather is not so kind. so far I have had my rear tires slip going uphil on a dry pavement or on a slight incline on dirt path. the only time i experienced this with the revos was in -10 degree weather and ice on the street, not with snow. the longtrails are softer and make the truck feel more like a car. they are a little more quiet. these are two features that are not at the top of my list. Safety is however. I don't feel completely safe riding on tires that slip with minimum challenge. I bought these tires at america's tire and will be trying to upgrade if they allow me.

i have been running Michelin tires on my bronco ll for the last 20 years averaging over 130,000 kilometers per set. i have had the Michelin X M&S on my F350 crewcab for the last 10 years. last fall i bought a '91 explorer that had Michelin X A/T tires on it. i feel completely confident with these tires and wouldn't even consider purchasing anything but Michelin. i often have other teenagers (air cadets) besides my own son in my vehicle. i need the best rubber i can get to ensure their safety.
the bottom line is, you get what you pay for.

keep smilin...........t

Wow that's horrible that you got slippage on dry pavement with new tires. I went up an Icy/snowy hill about a month ago with my very worn BFG Rugged Trails with 7passengers in the mounty and it took it like a champ.

Good to know though, these are off my list...
