Hey guys I have a friend that has a 91 Ford Ranger 3.0 and he has been havein trouble lately with his tac. He could now longer jump to 5000 it would slowly get there and not shift forever. Now there are added problems, the battery guage flick forward and back when the sterring wheel is turned and when ever the engin is reved up. (Note: Checkin engin light comes on every now and then)

Put in a 5.0L/NV4500/AtlasII with D44/D60 setup, this should end all of your problems.

3.0 S#$% at best.

If the CEL comes on then it is storing a code and you can read the trouble code to help figure out what is wrong.

Sounds like a wiring issue to me. I would pull the trim off the steering column and start wiggling wires.

This doesnt sound like a problem witht eh tachometer, more like a serious wiring/electrical problem under the hood or under the dash.

Sandy your post is better off just left untyped. Your mom always told you if you dont have anything nice to say............

It's kinda weird...........some members can post something slightly rude, and get flamed for days. Then others can post something REALLY rude and pointless, and not really get flamed at all.
